After the stabbing occurred I was awake.. You don't brush that off without at least having a protein shake.
I felt good once I got my day going. In no time I was was in the gym warming up. Today was a chest day for me and I crushed it. I feel like there was more to give in my chest, my shoulder however were not up to it. I could start to feel the pump growing too intensely and the joints were fatiguing.. So better to train another day with more thought. I will plan my chest day around isolation. I want to use as little shoulder as possible until absolutely necessary. Pressing is an exercise where they are needed.. So I want to press towards the end, with fresh shoulders. A worn out chest.
I have been having this attitude of priority training for awhile now.. Maybe the last three years. As something gets better, I switch my total efforts to the weak area. When the wea area levels off and is no longer weak, I change gears again - switching my training, and exercises accordingly. The results have been much better for me, the improvements I want are coming. Slowly... But, consistently.
