The bike is being worked on so D came by the house to pick me up. The ride to the gym was almost silent and very intense. Mentally prepping for an all out attack on our legs. We got to the gym and warmed up quickly on leg extensions and simple stretches.. Before long we were in full beast mode. Absolutely crushing the weights. We hammered away on leg extensions, getting up to the whole stack for 20 slow, controlled reps. Moving on to the hack squat - we used quarters and went up to 7 on each side. Repping until failure, stripping two 25's off, and going to failure again. D had me going for over 200 reps and it was just nuts. I was going forever on just two twentyfives and the pump was outrageous. I collapsed on the floor after the set and laughed.. It was all I could do to keep from passing out and taking a nap right then and there.
We crushed legs for almost 4 hours. Hitting quads, hamstrings, and calvs. Everything was hit hard and with a purpose. This was one of the best workouts I have ever had.
My legs were already cramping before we left the gym.. Randomly flexing and making me fall to the bottom position of a squat just to keep from locking.. But the real trouble came later... Walmart is where it all went down. A few hours after the workout I was in Walmart getting normal living supplies.. Just about into the first isle.. It happened. The cramping, the lack of mobility. I was looking like a frog slowly moving down the isle little by little just, off the floor, trying to play it cool. It was pretty funny. Amanda wanted me to get the mobility cart but I refused! After 10 minutes or so the legs loosened up and I was back to feeling normal.. But man, what a workout!
